Who we are

Dibs is a small product for Etsy makers, run from Los Angeles, California. The live site is calldibs.us.

What we collect

When you make an account we store your email and a hashed password. We cannot read your password.

When you watch listings we store the Etsy URLs you paste, the titles and photos we pull, the photos you pick for us to follow, matches we find, pages you hide, shops you ignore, your archive, Stolen / That's my shop / Not a match, and the dates you mark as filed.

A cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days.

We do not run ads. We do not drop analytics pixels.

How we look for copies

We send the listing photos you picked to Google, through a search vendor we pay, so we can look for copies.

We look up the listings you paste with Etsy's public API, using our own key. We do not ask you to sign in with Etsy today.

Complaints

We help you file. We do not send a complaint in your name.

How we evaluate pages

We may use a model to assist in how we evaluate the pages we found. Anthropic or Cloudflare may see those photos.

There is no switch to turn that off today. If you do not want photos sent to a model, email us before you watch a listing.

Who sees your data

Cloudflare hosts the app. Shop state lives in a private store we control.

Google and our search vendor see the photos you asked us to follow.

If we use a model, Anthropic or Cloudflare may see those photos and the found pages.

Etsy sees the listing URLs we look up.

We do not sell this. We do not share it for ads.

Email

If we email you, it is because something is waiting. Not ads. Not a newsletter.

How long we keep it

We keep your account until you ask us to delete it.

There is no delete button yet. Email hello@calldibs.us and we will remove your account and shop state by hand.

We are not charging yet. If we add payments, the company that charges you will see what it needs to bill you, and if you later cancel we may keep evidence packets for 90 days. If we add Sign in with Etsy, Etsy will see what it needs to log you in. We will name those companies here when that goes live.

Age

Dibs is for adult Etsy sellers. Do not use it if you are under 18.

California

We do not sell personal information. If you want a copy of what we have, or want it deleted, email hello@calldibs.us.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that affects you, we will date it and, if we have your email, tell you.
